Services Provided
A professional house cleaning service with Caribou Cleaners includes dusting, spot cleaning on walls, vacuuming carpets, cleaning hard floors, cleaning kitchens and bathrooms, entryways, hallways, and other living areas. We strive for thoroughness and efficiency, and will do a detailed deep cleaning and help you to maintain your home with weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly cleanings.
Service Area
Caribou Cleaners is an Alaskan owned and operated house cleaning service, providing service in Anchorage, Eagle River, Chugiak, Wasilla, Palmer, Houston, and nearby areas.
Special Requests
If you request it, your housecleaner will work with you to provide other services (organizing, carpet shampooing, etc) as an add-on to your housecleaning, as long as the service is within scope and ability. Extra services added on to your regularly scheduled housecleaning will incur additional charges, per the hourly rate.
Blinds
Caribou Cleaners will do slat by slat blind cleaning in certain circumstances. This is considered a deep cleaning task. Blinds must be at least 2 inches. We will not service mini blinds. Blinds may need to be vacuumed before they are wiped; this will require additional time, billed at the hourly rate. Caribou Cleaners cannot be held liable for blinds/shutters that have dry rot, sun damage and/or are not installed properly.
Moving Furniture
Your housecleaner will move “light” furniture but will not move refrigerators, stoves, washers, dryers, etc. Your housecleaner will try to reach all visible places either by hand or with an extension duster.
Pets
If your pet is afraid of vacuums, territorial or overly friendly and will not allow the housecleaner to work, it may be suggested that they be placed in an area where the housecleaner is not working. Caribou Cleaners is not responsible for cleaning pet excrement. This includes cleaning of litter boxes and dog kennels.
Washing or Painting Walls
Your housecleaner will dry dust and spot clean walls in the areas within reach. Your housecleaner will not climb higher than a 3-step ladder, but can use an extendable duster to reach higher areas. Your housecleaner will NOT wash the entire surface area of the walls throughout your house with soap and water or other chemicals. Your housecleaner will NOT apply paint to walls, either in their entirety or in spots.
