COVID-19 Precautions
Anyone working as a housecleaner with Caribou Cleaners will be vaccinated against COVID-19. Housecleaners will practice social distancing (your housecleaner will typically maintain 6 feet or further distance from you while providing services in your home). If requested, your housecleaner will wear a mask in your home. Gloves are used and changed as needed, particularly while cleaning bathrooms. Your housecleaner is trained in proper sanitization methods including use of disinfectants and avoidance of cross-contamination within your home, and between homes. Your housecleaner carries alcohol-based hand sanitizer and anti-viral disinfectant at all times. Caribou Cleaners will comply with any state and local mandates regarding COVID-19.
Client Provided Cleaning Products
If you would like Caribou Cleaners to use your cleaning product, please call ahead of time. Your housecleaner may decline to use products that produce harmful fumes or client requests to use a product in a way other than its manufacturer intended. Caribou Cleaners will check the label on the product and use the product according to the instructions on the label.
Contagious Illness
Please notify your housecleaner by 8:00 am on the day of your cleaning if you or anyone in your family is sick or has a contagious illness so that we can take precautions or choose to re-schedule your job. If your housecleaner is sick, they will contact you to reschedule your housecleaning service.
Ladders
Caribou Cleaners can provide a 2-step ladder or a 3-step ladder. Higher items will be dusted with an extension duster to the best of ability. An extension duster is available to reach higher ceiling fans, ceilings, lights, etc.
Fire Arms
If you have fire arms in your home, please let us know the location of the fire arms so that your housecleaner may avoid coming into contact with them. Your housecleaner will not touch or move your fire arms, and will avoid spaces in which fire arms are kept.
Insects
Insect infestation can be a problem and may prevent Caribou Cleaners from cleaning your home. If an infestation of ants, termites, roaches, fleas, bed bugs, etc. is encountered, Caribou Cleaners will not clean until the problem has been rectified.
